FC Dallas GKs do some work at the first practice of the year.
As an online-only EXCLUSIVE we recorded an extra segment after the show on Sunday. Marc Stein, Steve Davis, and Tyler Kern talk about a historic day for FC Dallas and what it means for MLS. Also mixed is some talk about the MLS playoff races and the problems for NYCFC.
Jeremy Schaap joined the show again to discuss the FIFA arrests and Sepp Blatter's re-election. He's smarter than us so it was pretty great.
Dirk Nowitzki left us a message on Norwich City's promotion to the Premier League and the Champions League Final.
Did you hear Dirk say we have a "sweet show"? Best compliment ever.
With the arrest and indictment of 14 people from the soccer community, including a number of high-level FIFA executives, we wanted to post the full, uncut interview that Marc Stein did with Jeremy Schaap in mid-May regarding his ESPN E:60 piece on FIFA President Sepp Blatter. This includes 3 minutes of audio that we didn't originally air due to time constraints.
Andrew Shaw of the Chicago Blackhawks showed off his footy abilities last night in 2OT against the Anaheim Ducks. Unfortunately the goal didn't count, but we did some research and found that he is eligible to play for the Canadian Nation Team. No word yet as to whether or not he will receive a call up for the Gold Cup.
The USWNT smoked Mexico 5-1 on Sunday in their second of three tune up games before the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup. The goals are all awesome but check out the filthy move Tobin Heath puts on her defender at the 3:19 mark to set up the USWNT's 5th goal. Soccer Today's own Sydney Leroux also had herself a good game, bagging two very nice goals.
Steve and Tyler were on the post-game show on 100.7 FM (locally in DFW) following the FC Dallas/LA Galaxy match Saturday night. You can listen to their breakdown of the game in its entirety here thanks to FC Dallas.
Aron Johannson scored a filthy goal for AZ. We thought you should know about it.
We haven't stopped watching this for over 24 hours now. It's just so beautifully devastating.
